Something about that instrument and the natural distortion of my crappy recording gear gave it this kinda retro rock feel. I recorded all of the parts on the Wurlitzer organ in my living room directly into my laptop’s built-in microphone. This was one of those songs where the demo version was so much more full of feeling than the official polished version, so I ended up sticking with the first raw take. The pandemic brought me into a much deeper friendship with myself.
